Gothic is also referring events occurring that cannot be explained or suspense and mystery. Some of its are gloomy, curses or prophecies, romance, intense emotions, heroes, decaying settings, monsters. Madness is also a common theme of gothic novels. It involves troubles and strange events. But have logical and natural explanations. This kind of novel arose in the late 18th and 19th century.
