The Straits of Magellan are located South of Chile and Argentina.

The Straits of Magellan were at one time controlled by Chile, that alone shows that they could not be located in Africa or India. They are in closest proximity to Chile and Argentina.

The correct answer is - south of Chile and Argentina.

The Magellan Strait, is a strait named after one of the greatest explorers, Fernando Magellan. It is located in the far south of the South American continent, cutting off Tierra del Fuego from the mainland of the continent. Even though Argentina has territory in this part two and it is very close to the Magellan strait, it actually is totally in the territory of the country of Chile.
