How do you write 6/10 as a terminating decimal?

To find the decimal for ANY fraction, divide the top number by the bottom one. Divide 6 by 10 and you'll have your answer. / / / By the way ... you don't get to choose whether it's terminating or not. Some are, some aren't, and you have to take what you get.

6/10 = 0.6

We know that 1/10 = 0.1

Therefore 6 x 1/10 = 6/10 = 0.6
