We can use this formula:

\sf{x^2-2xy+y^2 =(x-y)(x-y)=(x-y)^(2)}

g^2 - 28g + 196 \to (g)^2 - 2(14)(g) + (14)^2

that means:

x = g, y = 14

So plugging that into the formula, you get:

g^2 - 28g + 196= (g-14)(g-14)= (g-14)^2

g^(2)-28g+196=g^(2)-14g-14g+196=g(g-14)-14(g-14)= \\ \\ (g-14)(g-14)=(g-14)^(2)

P.S :>

(a-b)^(2)=a^(2)-2ab+b^(2)
