Artificial transmutation is the process by which an element was converted into another element artificially. This was first shown on the nitrogen whose nucleus was bombarded with a-particles in order to produce oxygen. In the process of converting nitrogen into an oxygen, induced radioactivity is also done. A formation of new elements occurs or takes place during artificial transmutation. The alchemy is the process known as the conversion of one element to another element and the person who did and facilitates the conversion is called the alchemist.
