Article I Section 3 Clause 4 and Article ii Section 1 Clause 6 List the power and duties of the Vice-President of the United States.

The main constitutional duty of the US vice-president is to immediately succeed the Presidency if the President dies, resigns, or is discharged from duty.

He is President of the Senate but has No vote unless the senate vote is equally divided.

Then the vice-president has the right to cast the deciding vote because of the tie vote.

It is mentioned in the Article I, section III of the U.S Constitution. It is said that the vice president would be the President when the President dies but he is not having any vote.
