The opposite of a Meritocracy, in which people are given jobs and responsibility based only on their capability, would be a system in which jobs are given to people's friends and family.

What is the opposite of a Meritocracy. If everyone claims to be one there must be something else with a negative connotation that they don't want to be called right?
