Explain why 3.4×10=34?

Ehen you multiply ANYTHING by 10, you add a 0 to the end. In this case, a 0 would nake it still 3.4, so you move the decimal. So 3.4x10=34, which is 3.4 with the decimal moved over.

3x10 equals 30. The .4 is in the tenths place so multiplied by 10 will move it to the ones place.
