Which sentence in this paragraph states the reason for the growing popularity of feudalism in medieval society?

Feudalism worked well in Britain and France for several centuries. The Church and religious leaders had a lot of power and influence with the ruling class. When the feudal system succeeded on the local level, kings and emperors used the system on a much larger scale to strengthen their monarchies. Under the feudal system, the king divided up his land among his most important lords. In return, the king required services such as political support, tax payments, and military force. The feudal lords then divided their shares of land among their best knights. Though the quality of life had improved for most people since the Anglo-Saxon period, society remained unequal.

Answer:

When the feudal system succeeded on the local level, kings and emperors used the system on a much larger scale to strengthen their monarchies.

Step-by-step explanation:

There was obviously a experimental period at first. Kings did observe how it was going to work out before putting that in practice in a larger scale, but eventually, they were quite happy with the results and kept using the model. If you think about it, it worked a lot like outsourcing. The lords were taking care of the lands and administrating them (they owned those lands), but were still servants and subjects to the crown and had to pay taxes to the king.
