How could introduced species disrupt existing feeding relationships?

All the plants and animals in a particular area are interdependent on each other thus forming an ecosystem. Introduced or Alien spieces destroy the natural ecological balance. They may also destroy food chains. They can also destroy the inter-relationships of many speices.

the new animal may eat a lot of the other animals the top food chain eats, and can become overpopulated
