Many people thought that Hoover didn't try hard enough to improve the economy in the Great depression but when Roosevelt came into office, he created the New Deal which were a ton of different projects to give people jobs and actually help. Roosevelt actually was very involved unlike Hoover. (I just took a test today about this in History class)
