58.F+2 + J+2 + A+2 = 58F + J + A + 6 = 58
F + J + A = 58 - 6
F + J + A = 52:
How old is John now?:Substitute for F & A
5J + J + .5J = 52
6.5J = 52
J = 52/6.5
J = 8 yrs
