1/4 in decimals is 0.25.
You can calculate it like this: can we divide 10 by 4 ? no. How about a 100? yes; it's 25!
But if we want to divide 1 by 4, but first we multipy it by 100? Then we have to divide the solution by 100 too! 25 by 100 is 0.25.
