Kofi Annan was bown on 8th April 1938, which was a Friday. The meaning of his name is also Friday , and it is a tradition of the Akan people, to which Kofi Annan belongs to name their children after the day they were born.
He lived and studied in Ghana, until he received a scholarship to continue his education in the US. Later he also studied in Switzerland.
The was the secretary General of the United Nations for a long time 1997-2006. After he retired, he established the Kofi Annan fooundation.
