How did other social movements lead to the women's rights movement? Women's success in other social reform movements inspired them to increase the rights of women. When women saw how successful other socials movements had been, they started the women's rights movement. The lack of women's rights only allowed women to help with social reform movements like abolition and temperance. Women were not allowed to help with other social reform movements so they were forced to start the women's rights movement.

"When women saw how successful other socials movements had been, they started the women's rights movement" is the best answer, but women's movements to some extent had always been around.
