How is a trapezoid different from the other four types of quadrilaterals

Answer:

Trapezoid is a Quadrilateral which has one pair of opposite sides that are parallel. Length of parallel sides are unequal while length of non parallel sides may or may not be equal.

Other four quadrilaterals are Square, rectangle, Parallelogram , and rhombus.

All these four quadrilaterals have both pair of opposite side parallel and equal.

In this way on the basis of number of parallel sides and equal sides, trapezoid differ from other quadrilaterals.

Trapezoids have two sides parallels with different lengths, while the other two sides are inclined. What makes it different from the other four types of quadrilaterals (square, rectangle, rhombus and kites) is that the former have two sides that are not parallel to any side, while the other quadrilaterlas have two pairs of parallel sides.
