1) The atmosphere (which contains 0.035% carbon dioxide) and provides the necessary CO2 for all living plants

2) Limestones, which have the chemical formula CaCO3 and cannot form in the first place except that they have carbon dioxide incorporating in their chemical structure; CO2 that can then be released through heating.
