Which position of two magnets results in the greatest attraction between the magnets?

the opposite make an attraction like positive and negative , and negative and positive. if it was negative and negative or positive and positive it wouldn't make an attraction.

Opposite attracts each other. Thus when the north pole of the magnet faces the south pole of the magnet and that too with right orientation such that the magnetic field produced by them intersect the maximum thereby producing strong magnetic field. While in case when the same poles of two magnets face each other then a repulsion force is produced and the magnets move away.
