There are 9 red gumballs, 5 green gumballs, 8 yellow gumballs, and 8 blue gumballs, what is the probability of choosing green then yellow. please explain how you got your answer.

9+5+8+8=30 <-- all balls

The probability of choosing green ball is
(5)/(30)=(1)/(6)
The probability of choosing yellow ball is
(8)/(30)=(4)/(15)

So, the probability of choosing green ball and then yellow one is
(1)/(6)\cdot(4)/(15)=(2)/(45)
