1 litre = 28p
then divide by 2 on both sids
1/2 litre = 28/2 p
so
1/2 litre = 14p

1 Litre = 28p
1/2 of 1 litre = 1/2 * 28p = 14p
So the cost of 1 half of a litre is 14p.
