onomatopoeic is the same as onomatopoeia

e.g. BANG ! , CRASH ! BOOM !

Onomatopoeic means the same thing as onomatopoeia. They mean: The formation of a word from a sound associated with what it is named. (It is basically any sound word.)

For example: Bing,bong! or sizzle, crack, pop!
