Let x= $14 tickets 9-x = $12 tickets 14 x + 12 (9-x) = 114 14 x+ 108- 12 x= 114 2 x+ 108= 114 2x= 6 x=3 3 tickets @ $14 9-3 = 6 tickets @ $ 12 Hope this helps
