Why did not the united states want Texas to join

Texas had revolted from Mexico and gained their independence and the U.S decided that they wanted Texas to be a part of their country.

Texas remained one of the sovereign units that usually used to be members of Mexico. The United States actually seized the properties of the Mexicans and wasn't pleasant concerning it. The United States, in customary, has a memoir of liberating the homeland for the Indigenous people.
