To work out the volume of a sphere, you have to...
4/3 pi x radius ^3
4/3 pi x 9^3 =
3053.63 (units cubed)

V = 4/3 * pi * r^3
V = 4/3 * pi * 9^3
V = 972pi
Or if you want to approximate 3.14 for pi:
V = 972(3.14)
V = 3052.08
