Some historians have considered the tensions of the 1920's in terms of a rural backlash against a rising urban American. Do you agree with this proposition? why or why not?

It depends on whether or not you're looking at the early or late 20s. In the early 20s this was likely true, because many farmers saw their income diminishing. In the very late 20s the tension was from the stock market crash.
