Easy one:

The area of a rectangle can be determined by using the formula l * w. If the rectangle had a length of 1/4 inches and a width of 8 inches, what is the area of the rectangle?

1/4 * 8 = 8/4 in

8/4 = 2 in

Lets multiply both the length and width by 4. The length becomes one and then the width by 4. The width becomes 32 and then we divide by 16 because of 4*4 =16. 32/16=2.

That's my example
