Can someone help me with this question I don't know how to subtract a whole number by a fraction

eg. 8 - 4/9
8/1 = 8 so 8/1 - 4/9
72/9 - 4/9 = 68/9
So turn the whole number into the number out of 1.

Pineaplle Juice

Club Soda


`18-(6+4)=8l`

Part B:


`18*(4)/(9)=(72)/(9)=8l`
