How do decomposers interact with their ecosystem? Be sure to name one example of them taking from the ecosystem and one example of them giving to the ecosystem.

When an animal or plant decomposes it is providing current life with nutrients from its decomposing body. For instance during a bird's life it will eat worms. Then when the bird dies (if it dies on the ground), it's decomposing body adds to the richness of the soil, which gives life to the worms.
