x = -(-6) +/- √((-6)² - 4(5)(-8))

x = 6 +/- √(36 + 160)

x = 6 +/- √(196)

x = 6 +/- 14

x = 6 + 14 x = 6 - 14

x = 20 x = -8
10 10
x = 2 x = -4/5
