Democratic means a type of government that has people choose leaders from a vote made by the persons,or could mean a rule by a majority.
The rise of middle class helped the government of Ancient Greece become more Democratic because of the dark ages(which is the time between the fall or Roman Empire and beginning of Age of Discovery),farming because it wasn't good at the time and also remove aristocratic governments and replace them with tyrants.
