I was not fully aware that they did. the only reason fur trappers come is if there is animals with fur they can trap enough of to make a business. The main colonizers of Utah were actually Mormons who were in mid-exodus from the United States and fled there for protection by the then Mexican Government, only to be given over after the Mexican American War to the U.S., who, no surprise here, still hated Mormons.
