When Sarah swings her arm, she swings from the shoulder which acts as the center of a circle. The length of her arm is the radius of the circle. If her arm is 20 inches long, then the diameter of the circle is twice that or 40 inches.

The radius is the 20inches the diameter is 2x the radius so the diameter would be 40 inches
