Why is it important to accurately predict the possible formation and path of a hurricane?

So that you can avoid the death's of a ALOT of people (depending on how bad the hurricane is) and prepare the cities/states where it will hit. If people know about where its heading ahead of time, then they can evacuate.

It is important to accurately predict the possible formation and path of a hurricane in order to properly worn people in the path of the hurricane and also to prepare or evacuate the areas to prevent damage and loss of life.
