How did farmers fare during the depression? What environmental conditions contribute to their plight?

Drought was a major environmental condition. Midwest farm land was called the Dust Bowl.

the government provided programs and the neighboring farms got together to eat so less food was being used. any gave up or lost hope and moved away but the remaining farms depended on the government to help.
