I'm guessing you mean to find the answer. So find a common denominator, which is 10. You can leave 7/10 alone. Now multiply by 5 on both the numerator and denominator of 1/2. It would be 5/10. Now subtract 7/10-5/10. The answer is 2/10. It can be simplified to 1/5. The answer now would be: 1/5
I hope this helps. :-)

(7)/(10) - (1)/(2) \\ \\ (7x1)/(10x1)= (7)/(10) \\ \\ (1x5)/(2x5)= (5)/(10) \\ \\ (7)/(10) - (5)/(10)= (2)/(10) \\ \\ Solution: (2)/(10)
