Should people who download music and movies illegally be punished?

My teacher asked us this question. O_O I don't know why though.. Smh.

I personaly don't think so, the people who illegally put the items up should get punished for pirating.

no, they should not be punished. some of these times its because they dont have enough money or can't find it. If they are going to charge rip off prices for stuff we can get for free, we are going to get it free. also the movies and music cost meoney to produce and that's why they cost money.
