A ladder rises 20 feet for every horizontal change of 4 feet. What is the slope of the ladder? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

slope=rise/run
(run means horizontal)
so the slope=20/4
simplify
slope=5
:)

the slope is  y/x    20/4=5  meaning as it rises 5 feet it will horizontaly change by 1 foot
