Carbon otherwise known as CO2 causes an greenhouse effect( which thickens our atmosphere) , causing the heat absorbed from the sun in our atmosphere to be trapped and resulting in global warming

Particles of carbon can also be called co2 or also a greenhouse gas. The emission of carbon into the atmosphere causes air pollution and can also lead to global warming.
