The Munich Agreement or Munich Pact was an agreement signed between Nazi Germany, Great Britain, France, and Italy allowed for German acquisition of the Sudetenland in Western Czechoslovakia in an attempt to prevent wider war in 1938. However, it was broken when Germany invaded and annexed the rest of Czechoslovakia the following year as well as through the invasion of Poland.
