Matter is what makes up all the "stuff" in the universe. Matter can have different properties. Some of these properties could include size, texture, shape, hardness, and color. All mater is made up of atoms. This is why atoms are called the tiny building blocks of matter. To put into perspective how small atoms are, they are around the size of one-millionth of a human hair.
