Why are the Miller-Urey experiments essential to the theory of evolution? They showed that life can only come from life. They showed that electricity can create life. They showed how organic molecules could be made from Earth's early atmosphere. They demonstrated the role that natural selection played in the evolution of modern day organisms.

The correct answer is -They showed how organic molecules could be made from Earth's early atmosphere.

Urey calculated that the early Earth atmosphere was reducing and the early atmosphere contained methane, ammonia, hydrogen and water. Based on the conclusion of Urey, Stanley Miller did an experiment and synthesizes organic compounds such as amino acids, fatty acids, hydroxyl acids and amide products from the constituents of the then reducing atmosphere as suggested by Urey.
