Solve, using the substitution method.

3x + 2y = 8
y = x – 6

3x+2y=8
y=x-6

3x+2 (x-6) =8

3x+2x -12 =8

+12 to both sides...
3x+2x = 20

3x+2x=5x

5x=20

divide both sides by 5

x=4!!!
y=-2
