The diameter is twice the radius.
If the diameter is 8 cm, then the radius is 4 cm.

A=\pi r^2
A - area, r - radius

r=4 \ [cm] \\ \\ A=\pi * 4^2=16 \pi \approx 50.27 \ [cm^2]

The area is 16π cm², or approximately 50.27 cm².
