Writing is arguably one of history's most important cultural advances because it has been the medium that has advanced mankind for centuries. We still continue to use the writings and ideas of individuals and groups from centuries ago because of their writings. Writing has been a constant medium of expression and has served as a record from which culture and societies have developed.
