if two similar flashlights shine on a wall from the same distance the spot on the wall becomes brighter. This is due to light wave.....?

Actually, two flashlights are not necessarily coherent (coherent waves are waves which have same frequency, same amplitude and phase difference is constant). Without coherent sources, interference cannot happen (so there's no interference pattern on the wall).
