(1 / cot²θ) + secθ cosθ
(1 / cotθ) == tanθ
Therefore
tan²θ + secθ cosθ
secθ == (1 / cos θ)
Therefore
tan²θ + (1 / cosθ) cosθ
The cosθ 's cancel out
Therefore
tan²θ + 1
tan²θ + 1 == sec²θ
Therefore
sec²θ is the simplified answer
