How did Germany’s postwar economic problems begin during the war? Germany had not raised taxes during the war, so it printed new money, which caused runaway inflation. Germany had planned for a severe loss of territory following its defeat. Both are correct.

Germanys poverty made the war, because Adolf Hitler came in and got rid of the old money system and then recreated the whole entire economy, built himself an army and then started WWII
