2x+20=5x-10
3x=30
x=10
m (GED)=2.10+20=40

Given the stated conditions, then
GED = DEF
2x + 20 = 5x - 10
5x - 2x = 20 + 10
3x = 30
x = 10
Therefore, GED = 2(10) + 20 = 20 + 20 = 40
