How did world war 1 contribute to the rise of dictators in Europe?

World War I contributed to the rise of three main dictators in Europe. Stalin in the Soviet Union, Mussolini in Italy, and Hitler in Germany. Because their respective countries were defeated and unhappy after the war, these men got to rise to power.
