A gene for disease resistance in fir trees is transferred to pine trees using modern DNA technology. How might this be economically helpful to tree farmers?

It protects the tree from disease since it has a modified gene which is essential to the resistance for the pine tree. Artificial DNA Technology modifies which is what allows for the changes to occur. Pine trees without artificial modified gene for resistance will die and able to be infected.
